Musician and educator Cody Roe was born in a small town in Central, Ohio. His drumming and musical journey began at age 12 when he started mimicking his favorite CDS & Drummers in his parents' basement on a drum set that they had gifted him from the local music store. He quickly grew into performing and touring the local music scenes.
Eager to expand his abilities and grow as a professional, Cody packed up and headed west to steady at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. There, he studied under the industry's leading educators and performers including Donny Gruendler, Sammy Watson, Thomas Lang, Rob Carson, Chuck Silverman, Gary Hess, Gordon Campbell, Ray Luzier and Jeff Bowders. Also, begin exposed to one of the deepest music scenes in the world while playing professionally in the L.A-based band Eyes of Noctum.

Subsequently, he fell in love with the teaching process and the drum community. Cody went on to become one of the founding instructors at Guitar Center Studios (Columbus, Oh) where he gave private instruction focused on contemporary drum and percussion as well as drum recording and Marching Snare.
